WHY: Caregivers need support
One easy way for you to take care of yourself is to join a support group. Norfolk Adult Day Health Center in Norwood offers free monthly groups for caregivers whose loved one is a senior or an adult with a disability. The professional and experienced staff can provide your loved one with respite care while you attend the group. Meetings are free and open to the public and held the last Tuesday of the month, at 10:00AM. Location of the meetings is in the Adult Day Health Center, 595 Pleasant Street, Norwood MA. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 27, 2010.

Community VNA’s Mansfield Adult Day Health Center in Mansfield and Norfolk Adult Day Health Center in Norwood offer a home like medical adult day health program with health care supervision. Complex medical needs such as tube feeding, tracheotomy care; injections, medication management and incontinence are addressed by our nursing staff.

American Credit Counseling Service, Inc., a United Way community partner agency, continues its series of free monthly financial education workshops on Tuesday, July 27th from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at their Education Center located at 4 Taunton Street, Suite 5 in Plainville. This month’s workshop is entitled “Understanding your Credit Reports and Credit Scoring”. Topics of discussion will include how to read your reports, dispute errors, and improve your credit score. This workshop is essential if you have been turned down for credit, or have been denied employment due to your credit history. Attendees will have the opportunity to obtain a copy of their free annual credit reports.
Individual counseling will also be available from 5:30 – 6:30 PM.
